Biography
Born May 16, 1911 in the city of Nikolaevsk , now Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory , in a working class family. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1938. Since 1926 he lived in the city of Vladivostok . Secondary education. He worked in the branch "Remmashtrest".
In the Navy since 1933. In 1935 he graduated from special courses for the command staff of the Baltic Fleet .
Member of the Soviet-Japanese war of 1945 .
The commander of the 2nd torpedo boat division (1st torpedo boat brigade, Pacific Fleet), Lieutenant Commander Mikhail Malik participated in 18 combat exits, in two raiding operations on enemy ports on the north-eastern coast of Korea , as a result of which 11 were destroyed and damaged 2 enemy vehicles.
Mikhail Malik participated in the landing in the port of Yuki (Ungi) , in the landing on Rasin (Najin) and in the landing on Genzan (Wonsan) . For the first time, when clearing contactless mines of the fairway of the port, Rasin used depth-bombing from torpedo boats.
