Geography
The aul is located on the right bank of the Sarkyrama River, which flows from Nura to Ishim .
Population
In 1999, the population of the aul was 1742 people (1033 men and 709 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 4527 people lived in the aul (2341 men and 2186 women) [2] .
Satellite City of Astana
On June 21, 2012, the Affordable Housing 2020 program was approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to which it was planned to allocate 29,114 million tenge for the preliminary work in the Akmola region to develop the village of Kosshy as a satellite city of Astana, including: 2012 - 2,214 million tenge, in 2013 - 2,300 million tenge, in 2014 - 4,200 million tenge, in 2015 - 2,900 million tenge, in 2016 - 3,500 million tenge, in 2017 - 3,500 million tenge, in 2018 - 3,500 million tenge, in 2019 - 3,500 million tenge, in 2020 - 3,500 million tenge [3] .
According to some media reports, the actual population of Kossha in early 2018 could reach 50 thousand inhabitants, the formal status of “aul” does not contribute to improving the infrastructure of the aul [4] [5] [6] . [7]
Transport
Kosshy is located near the road P-3 Astana - Kabanbai batyr - Temirtau. [8] Transport communication with the city of Astana is provided by suburban routes No. 301, 302, 303, 320 [9] .
