Biography
Grigory Golosov in 1985 graduated from the liberal arts faculty of Novosibirsk State University with a degree in history , with honors. In 1987, he defended a dissertation at Novosibirsk University, becoming a candidate of philosophical sciences . In 1995, at the Central European University, he received a Master of Arts degree (MA, Russian master of arts ) in political sciences . In 1999, at the Institute of Comparative Political Science, Russian Academy of Sciences, he defended his dissertation on the topic “Formation and Development of the Russian Party System: A Comparative Analysis”, becoming a doctor of political sciences. From 1987 to 1995, he worked at Novosibirsk State University, first at the Department of Philosophy, and then at the Institute for Retraining and Further Training of Teachers of Social Sciences at NSU. Since 1996, he has been teaching at the European University in St. Petersburg . Since 2011, he has been a university professor of comparative political science at the European University in St. Petersburg.
In different years, he held temporary teaching and research positions in foreign educational and research institutions: Oxford University (1993), Institute of Advanced Russian Studies named after Kennan (1993, 1998), University of California, Berkeley (1995-1996), University of Notre Dame (1998), University of Oslo (1998), Netherlands Institute for Advanced Humanities and Social Studies (1999), Central European University (2001), Paris Institute for Political Studies (2001).
