The Maserati 3200 GT is a Gran Turismo class car manufactured by Maserati from late 1998 to March 2002 [1] . This was the first model of the company after joining the Fiat automobile concern under the auspices of Ferrari [2] ; on the chassis of the model Ferrari 550 Maranello the car was made. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro from ItalDesign Giugiaro , who previously worked on the Ghibli , Bora and Merak models, and Enrico Fumia worked on the interior. A total of 4795 cars were manufactured.

The taillights of the car consisted of LEDs in the form of a boomerang : the outer part was responsible for the brake lights, and the inner part was for turning lights.

Specifications
The chassis of the car - a tubular frame - was made of sheet steel, it was fastened rigidly, which gave greater torsional rigidity, safety and suspension efficiency [3] , in front it was strengthened by a spatial frame . The wishbones and steering knuckles of the car suspension were made of forged aluminum [4] .
The engine of the car was one - a 3.2-liter bi- turbo gasoline unit, coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Equipment
The 3200 GT had the usual equipment for this class of cars, which included leather trim, climate control, a 6-channel Becker audio system with a 6-disc CD changer and two subwoofers , electric front seats that automatically shifted when the back was lowered, etc. Of the security systems, the car had an ABS and a traction control system [5] .
3200 GTA
The launch of the 3200 GTA version began in 2000. It was equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission and had boosted up to 368 hp. (271 kV) engine.
3200 GT Assetto Corsa
A limited version of the Assetto Corsa was introduced in 2001 at the Geneva Motor Show . Its equipment additionally included an adjustable electronic suspension and a sports brake system, and handling was also improved. The brake pads of the modification were made of cermet, and the cooling air ducts of the brake system were made of carbon. Assetto Corsa was 15 mm lower than the normal version, its suspension springs became stiffer, and the anti-roll bar was strengthened [6] .
