Biography
Vladimir Egorovich was born on May 19, 1919 in the village of Sutiski (now a village in the Tyvrovsky district of the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine ). He studied at the Vinnitsa Construction College. In 1939, Egorovich was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1940, he graduated from the Odessa Military Aviation School. Since April 1943 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By February 1945, Captain Vladimir Yegorovich commanded a squadron of the 402nd fighter air regiment of the 265th fighter air division of the 3rd fighter air corps of the 16th air army of the 1st Belorussian front . By that time, he had made 248 sorties, took part in 71 aerial combat, in which he shot down 22 enemy aircraft [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for "exemplary performance of command missions at the front of the battle against the German invaders and shown courage and heroism" captain Vladimir Yegorovich was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal " Under the number 7015 [1] .
After the war, Yegorovich continued to serve in the Soviet Army. Since 1949 he served in Zaporozhye , was the flight director of the Zaporizhzhya flying club. Tragically died on April 27, 1953, was buried in the Pervomaysky cemetery of Zaporozhye [1] .
He was also awarded three orders of the Red Banner , orders of Alexander Nevsky and World War 2 degree, a number of medals [1] .
