This monument was dismantled with the sanction of local authorities on September 14, 1990 [1] . The bronze figure was later melted, and the metal obtained was used to build a monument to the victims of communist repressions in Lviv. After dismantling the monument to Lenin, it turned out that the pedestal of this monument was built from tombstones of the Jewish cemetery .
