Ninkovich, Stamenko

Stamenko Ninković ( Serb. Stamenko Ninkovi , born November 8, 1958 , Schnyegotin, Chelinac , SFRY ) is a Serbian general and military leader, a well-known military commander of the Republika Srpska army during and after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina . He began military service in the Yugoslav People’s Army , and since 1992 he continued it in the ranks of the newly created Bosnian Serb army. During the service, he commanded a battalion, then the headquarters of an armored brigade, a brigade, and later was deputy chief of the General Staff. The rank of major general was received on June 28, 2003 . After the abolition of the Army of the Republika Srpska, he continued to serve in the ranks of the joint armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
