Nils Anlund ( Swede. Nils Ahnlund ; August 23, 1889, Uppsala - January 11, 1957, Stockholm ) - Swedish historian, professor at Stockholm University from 1928 to 1955, member of the Swedish Academy since 1941. He specialized in domestic (Swedish) history.

Biography
He was born in the family of a professor of moral philosophy, who later became the vicar of the parish. In 1908 he entered Uppsala University , in 1918 he defended his doctoral dissertation on relations between Sweden and Germany during the reign of Gustav II Adolf . From 1916 to 1926 he worked in the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet , becoming a well-known political publicist, but preferring a journalistic career as an academic. In 1923, he became an associate professor at Stockholm University, five years later becoming a full professor of history. In 1934 he became a member of the Literary Academy, in 1936 - a member of the committee of the Stockholm City College for the publication of reference books, in 1941 - the Swedish Academy, in 1952 - an academician of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In 1944-1956 he was chairman of the Swedish Ethnological Society [2] .
He enjoyed quite wide popularity not only in the scientific world, but also among the public, actively publishing popular science historical essays in newspapers and giving lectures on the radio.
