Features
HD 197037 - a star of 6.8 apparent magnitude; for the first time in astronomical literature is mentioned in the catalog of Henry Draper , published at the beginning of the XX century . The mass of the star is 1.11 the mass of the sun . [1] The surface temperature of HD 197037 is about 6150 Kelvin . Her age is estimated at approximately 1.9 billion years.
Planet System
In 2012, a group of astronomers working with the Hobby-Eberly telescope announced the discovery [1] of the planet HD 197037 b in the system. This is a gas giant with a mass equal to 79% of the mass of Jupiter . The planet is drawn at a distance of 2.07 AU from the parent star, making a complete revolution of 1036 days. The discovery of the planet was made by Doppler spectroscopy .
