Biography
Ibn Hibban studied the Muslim sciences from many prominent scholars of the time, including al-Nasai , al-Hassan ibn Sufyan, Abu Yaal al-Mawsili , al-Hussein ibn Idris al-Kharavi, Abu Khalifa al-Jamhi, Imran ibn Musa ibn Majashi ', Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Sufi, Jafar ibn Ahmad al-Dimashki, Abu Bakr ibn Husayma and others. His students were Muhammad ibn Manda , Abu Abdullah al-Hakim and many others. Ibn Hibban acted as a qadiy in Samarkand , was well versed in fiqh and hadithology , knew astronomy , medicine and many other sciences.
Ibn Hibban “denied the border with Allah,” because of which he was expelled from Sijistan by local Hanbalis [2] [3] [4] .
Ibn Hibban died in Boost on the night of Friday, eight days before the end of the month of Shawval, 354 HH.
