Content
Geography
The village is located 39 km south-west of Gus-Khrustalny , 12 km south of the railway station Peat product (p. Mezinovsky ) on the Moscow - Murom line .
History
In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village was the center of the Demidov volost of the Kasimov district of the Ryazan province , since 1926 - as part of the Palishensky volost of the Gusevsky district of the Vladimir province . In 1859 [2] there were 64 yards in the village, in 1905 [3] - 152 yards, in 1926 [4] - 180 yards.
Since 1929, the village was the center of the Demidov Village Council of the Gus-Khrustalny District , since 1935 - as part of the Ovintsevsky Village Council of the Kurlovsky District , since 1963 - as part of the Gus-Khrustalny District , since 1977 - the center of the Demidov Village Council , since 2005 - the center of the Demidov Village settlement .

Current status
In the village there are SPK Demidovsky, a comprehensive school, a kindergarten, a feldsher-midwife station, the Palishchensky veterinary clinic, and a post office.
