Biography

Vojtech Bartonek was born on March 28, 1859 in Prague .
He mastered art at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts [2] under the guidance of Professor Jan Swerts , and then studied in the capital of France , Paris.
As an artist, Voitech Bartonek attracted attention in 1881 with his first painting “Unfair Divide” - a talented image of scenes from everyday life with a humorous connotation [2] .
Later, Bartonek also painted the following paintings: “Before the Lottery Office”, “Before Christmas”, “Last Sip”, “From Prague Street”, “Old Storyteller”, “Recruits”, “On the Way to the Patient”, “Dispute at the Landowner” ”And others [2] .
Vojtech Bartonek died on August 25, 1908 in Prague.
