Biography

Abdul-Hakk Dehlevi was born in Delhi in 1550 year. Since childhood, he felt a craving for knowledge and pretty quickly mastered reading and writing skills. He studied at a madrasah in the city ​​of Delhi under the ustaz Muhammad Mukim, who was a student of Amir Muammad Murtaza Sharifi. Despite the two-mile distance between the madrasah and his house, he tirelessly attends school.

After receiving primary education and memorizing the Koran , in 1587 sent to the holy Muslim city of Mecca to perform the hajj . In addition to Mecca, he visits Medina , Taif and for the second time having performed the Hajj in 1590 returns to India. During this journey, Ilm al-Hadith learns in Mecca from Sheikh Abd al-Wahhab ibn Waliullah al-Muttaki, who was a student of Sheikh Ali al-Muttaki al-Hindi, the author of Kanz al-Ummal, and Kadi Ali Ibn Jarullah ibn Zahir al-Kurashi al-Mahzumi. In Medina, she is studying under Sheikh Ahmad ibn Muhammad Abul al-Hazm al-Madani, Sheikh Hamid ad-Din ibn Abdullah al-Cindy, and receives from them general Ijaz.

Abdul-Hakk Dehlevi died in 1642 year (Monday, the 23rd day of the month of Rabbi Ul Aval 1052 HH).
