General Information
Andre is one of two children of Dieter and Karin Begemann; his sister's name is Carolina. The father of the family was once a semi-professional athlete - a football player, at some point in his career playing for one of the clubs in the second division of the German championship .
Until the age of 12, Begemann Jr. was engaged in tennis and football, and only at that age he completely switched to tennis.
Andre in tennis since the age of seven; favorite coating is grass; the best element of the game is a shortened punch.
Sports career
Between the junior and main adult years of his career, Begemann studied in the USA , while playing tennis at the NCAA for his school: Pepperdine University to Malibu .
In 2008, he won five singles tournaments from the ITF Futures series. I won one more in 2009 and in 2011. In doubles at tournaments Futures began to win back in 2005. In 2009, he won the first Challenger tournament in Cancun . In 2010, he won three more paired Challenger tournaments in Zagreb , Genoa and Cali . In 20011, he won two more paired Challengers in Istanbul and Ekkental . In 2012, Jordan Kerr won the Challenger in Athens . In July, paired with Igor Zelenai made his debut in the main draw of the Wimbledon tournament .
In September 2012, Martin Emmrich became his main partner. With him, Andre won the Challengers in Genoa, Szczecin and Tashkent . With him, he first wins the ATP World Tour tournament in Vienna . In January 2013, they reached the final of the tournament in Chennai .
