Left Gentsvish ( Georgian მარცხენა გვენწვიში [Martshen Gentsvishi]) is a village in Abkhazia , in the Gulrypsh region of the partially recognized Republic of Abkhazia , according to the administrative division of Georgia , in the Gulripshsky municipality of the Abkhaz Autonomous Republic [1] on the banks of the Kodor River.

Population
In 1959, 267 people lived in the village of Martskhen Gentsvishi (Left Gentsvish), mostly Georgians (3239 people in the Azhara village council as a whole, also mostly Georgians [3] [4] . In 1989, 180 people lived in the village [5] , also mainly Georgians ( Svans ) [6] . According to the 2002 census of Georgia, 116 people lived in the village of Left Gentsvish (at the time of the census controlled by the Georgian authorities) [2] .
