Biography
Paul Andrew Richter was born on October 28, 1966 in Grand Rapids . Mother - Glenda Swanson (nee - Palmer), kitchen designer, father - Lawrence R. Richter, taught Russian at Indiana University for more than 32 years. Shortly after the birth of Paul, a large family (except for Paul, the couple had three more children) moved to Yorkville ( Illinois ), and when the future actor was four years old, his parents divorced.
In the second half of the 1980s, Andy attended college at Columbia College Chicago , where he studied comedy art (the workshop of the Dela Close ) and wrote the first scripts. In 1988, Richter graduated from college and worked as an assistant on advertising footage in Chicago.
In 1993, Andy Richter was a screenwriter on the new TV show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and he worked on this show for seven years, writing scripts for 440 episodes. For the first time, Richter also appeared on television in 1993, playing the role of a policeman in the movie “ The Assassin of the Leader ”, and the following year the actor made his debut on a wide screen with the main role in the Jung film.
Since March 18, 1994, he has been married to actress Sarah Tyr, the couple have two children, William Oscar (born in 2001) and Mercy Josephine (born in March 2007).

- The prime time Emmy Award was nominated in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2010 and 2011, but never received it.
- “ Gemini ” - was nominated in 2003, but did not receive it.
- The USA Screenwriters Guild Award was nominated in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2010, 2012 and 2013, and received it in 1997 and 2000.
