War Cemetery No. 67 - Ropica-Ruska ( Polish. Cmentarz wojenny nr 67 - Ropica Ruska ) is a military cemetery located in the vicinity of the village of Ropica-Gurna , Gorlitsky district , Lesser Poland province . The cemetery is part of the group of the Western Galician war graves of the First World War . Soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army who died during the First World War in May 1915 are buried in the cemetery. Monument of Malopolska province.
Content
History
The cemetery was built by the Department of military burials of K. and K. of the military commandant's office in Krakow in 1915 according to the project of the Austrian architect Hans Myr . There are 7 communal and 2 individual graves in the cemetery, in which 83 Austrian soldiers of Czech origin are buried.
Description
The cemetery is located about 100 meters from the Bartne-Ropitz road. The necropolis is fenced on all sides by a small stone fence. In the middle of the north side of the cemetery there is a wooden gate. The graves are marked with iron crosses with signs indicating the year of burial "1915". In the middle of the cemetery on the stone foundation is a memorial concrete cross.
At the end of the 20th century, relatives of one of those buried, Joseph Prokhazki, installed a gravestone monument with an original cross.
