Biography

Lucia Aliberti was born on June 12, 1957 (according to other sources on September 17, 1961 ) in Sicily , in the city of Messina , in Italy . She graduated from the conservatory with honors, being very young, then studied with maestro Luigi Ricci in Rome , with Herbert von Karayan in Salzburg and Berlin and with Alfredo Kraus in Milan . In addition to vocals , Lucia studied piano and other musical instruments: guitar , accordion , violin , mandolin . Her repertoire includes many pieces for piano, clarinet , flute and voice, she also composes music.

Lucia Aliberti is considered a specialist in the repertoire of Vincenzo Bellini (she also intensively studies some of the composer's manuscripts). The other most important composers in her repertoire are Donizetti , Rossini and Verdi . Some parts in the operas of these composers became her most successful roles.

Lucia Aliberti began her artistic career in 1978 , performing the part of Amina in the opera Somnambula by Bellini at the Spoleto Theater, in 1979 she performed the same part at the Spoleto festival under the direction of Giancarlo Menotti . In 1980, she made her debut in La Scala . In 1988, she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera with the part of Lucia in the opera Lucia di Lammermur Donizetti .

He sings in the largest theaters in the world: La Scala , Roman Opera , San Carlo in Naples , Vienna Opera , Metropolitan Opera , Washington National Opera, Covent Garden , Bavarian State Opera in Munich , at the Hamburg Opera House , at the State Theater of Stuttgart, in opera houses theaters of Paris , Toulouse , Madrid , Valencia , Berlin , Dusseldorf , Bremen , Amsterdam , Geneva , Zurich , Salzburg , Stockholm , Budapest , Warsaw , at the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires , Japan , China , and others. She performed at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow , in Kiev .

Performs solo concerts around the world. She sang for heads of state and celebrities, including for Pope John Paul II (with direct television broadcasting around the world), English Prince Charles , German President Horst Köhler , Prince of Japan Hiro , Prince of Monaco Albert . She sang in gala concerts dedicated to the anniversaries of UNICEF , UNESCO , UNITALSI, and others. Participates in television concerts and shows.
