Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 2090 people (967 men and 1123 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census, 495 people (210 men and 285 women) lived in the village [2] .
History
It arose in 1964 as a village of workers of the Krasnogorsk uranium mine. After the depletion of uranium ore reserves, the village was categorized as not promising. It turned off the houses from heat, water and light, closed the hospital and school. Since 2009, there has been a program for the resettlement of residents of the village in the city of Esil [3] .
