Alexander Petrovich Lisitsyn (born July 3, 1923 , Shatilovskaya selection station , Orel province ) is a Russian scientist, specialist in the field of marine geology, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences . Head of the Laboratory of Physico-Geological Research, Institute of Oceanology, RAS. The son of academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences Peter Ivanovich Lisitsyn .

Biography
- 1941 - 1945 - participant of the Great Patriotic War
- 1949 - goes to work at the Institute of Oceanology of the USSR [1]
- 1950 - graduated from the Moscow Geological Exploration Institute with a degree in geological engineering for mineral exploration and exploration [2] .
- 1953 - defended the dissertation of the candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences.
- 1966 - defended a dissertation of a doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences.
- 1974 - was elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, was awarded the title of professor .
- 1991 - full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences [3]
- March 31, 1994 - elected academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences
