Order "Altyn Asyr"

The Order “Altyn Asyr” was established by the Law of Turkmenistan, adopted on February 18, 2001.

In 2014, the Order took a new look.

• The Order of Turkmenistan “Altyn Asyr” was established to reward for special merits in labor and professional activities in the 21st century - the golden age of the Turkmen people.
• The Order "Altyn Asyr" is awarded to citizens of Turkmenistan .
  • Citizens of other states can be awarded the Order of Altyn Asyr by the President of Turkmenistan.

• The Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" consists of three degrees:
  • Order "Altyn Asyr" I degree;
  • Order "Altyn Asyr" II degree;
  • Order "Altyn Asyr" III degree.

The highest degree is I degree.

• Awarding the Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" is made:
  • for his great personal contribution to strengthening the sovereignty and independence of Turkmenistan, strengthening the defense and security of the state, maintaining a high level of legality and law and order in the country, increasing the authority of Turkmenistan on the world stage;
  • for merits in the implementation of strategic goals and objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan in the field of economics, in the development of science, education, health, culture, art and other areas of work;
  • for outstanding creative achievements, excellence and professionalism.

• Awarding the order "Altyn Asyr" is made sequentially: the third degree, the second degree and the first degree. In this case, the award of an order of a higher degree is made not earlier than five years after the award of an order of a previous degree.

• Awarding the Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" is made once a year and is timed to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.

In other cases, the award of the Altyn Asyr Order is made by decision of the President of Turkmenistan.

• The award of the Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" is made on the proposal of the heads of the central bodies of state power and administration, the khyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat , as well as public organizations. Submissions are made to the president of Turkmenistan.
• Persons awarded with the Order of Altyn Asyr of Turkmenistan:
  • awarded the order "Altyn Asyr" and certificate;
  • at the expense of the State budget is paid in the national currency of Turkmenistan - manat - a lump sum in the amount equivalent to one thousand US dollars;
  • a monthly allowance is established for salaries, salaries, pensions, scholarships in the following amounts:
    • awarded the order “Altyn Asyr” I degree - 30 percent;
    • awarded the Order of Altyn Asyr II degree - 20 percent;
    • awarded the Order of Altyn Asyr III degree - 10 percent. At the same time, for persons awarded with the Altyn Asyr Order of two or three degrees, the monthly allowance is paid in the amount provided for a higher degree. The monthly allowance at enterprises, institutions and organizations funded from the state budget is paid at the expense of the State budget, and at other enterprises, institutions and organizations at the expense of their own funds.

• Awarding the Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" is made by decree of the President of Turkmenistan.
• The Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn Asyr" is worn on the left side of the chest and, with other state awards, Turkmenistan is positioned after the order of "Turkmenbashi" in order of seniority.

The Order “Altyn Asyr” has the form of a decahedron, composed of five external peaks of the interlacing and repeating element of the Turkmen national ornament, and five stars, interspersed with its outline. Ornament and stars are depicted on faceted rays emanating from the central part of the order.

The total diameter of the order is 46 mm.

The central part of the order, 25 mm in diameter, has a radial base and is covered with green enamel. In the central part of the order there is a profile portrait facing the left of Turkmen President Saparmurat Turkmenbashi . Above the portrait there is an inscription "Altyn Asyr". At the bottom of the portrait is framed by two intertwining laurel branches.

The order is connected via a ringlet to a block with a height of 27 mm and a width of 25 mm.

The shape of the block and its drawing are connected in a single style with the design of the order. In the upper part of the block there is a 3.5 mm high red enamel stripe with the inscription “TÜRKMENISTAN”. On the main field, covered with green enamel, are a crescent and five stars, framed by two intertwining olive branches. The pad is made of the same material as the order.

On the back of the order, depending on its degree, there is an inscription "I DEREJE", "II DEREJE", "III DEREJE" and a serial number.

The Order "Altyn Asyr" I degree is made of 750 gold. In the stars on the order are inserted 5 diamonds. In the elements of the ornament, forming the shape of a diamond, inserted 5 rubies.

The Order “Altyn Asyr” of the II degree is made of 925 oxidized silver. The elements of the ornament, forming the shape of a rhombus, are covered with red enamel.

Order "Altyn Asyr" III degree is made of tombac . The elements of the ornament, forming the shape of a rhombus, are covered with red enamel.

Order

The basis of the order plate is made of silk fabric of green color, on it is placed a vertical image of five carpet gels, diverging olive branches of golden color, to the left of the gels in the lower part of the bar there are three horizontal lines. On the right side of the slat are vertical lines:

• Order of the I degree - one line of golden color,
• Order of the II degree - two lines of silver color
• Order of the III degree - three lines of bronze color.

The outer edges of the plank are coated in yellow.

The sign of the order has the shape of an octagon, the corners of which are connected by straight lines of green color and are inlaid: the order “Altyn аsyr” I degree - three diamonds, the order “Altyn аsyr” II and III degrees - three white zirconium stones. The circles located inside the octahedron are bordered with a gilded chain. The total diameter of the order - 44 mm.

In the center of the sign, in the central part of the circle with a diameter of 22 mm, covered with white enamel, a gilded map of Turkmenistan and a gilded convex silhouette of the Independence Arch of Turkmenistan are located against the image of the sun's rays.

On the outer side of the central circle in the upper part of the semi-circle with a diameter of 4 mm, covered with green enamel, is the inscription "ALTYN ASYR", and in the gilded lower part - diverging ears of wheat, in the space between them are five cotton boxes.

The sign with the help of a ringlet is connected to a block made in the form of an open book 20 mm high and 31 mm wide. In the middle of the block, on a column covered with red enamel, are five Turkmen carpet gels. The block is covered with green enamel.

On the reverse side of the order, depending on its degree, there are inscriptions: I "DEREJE", II "DEREJE" and III "DEREJE".

The Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn asyr" of the II degree and its block are made of 925 sterling silver.

The Order of Turkmenistan "Altyn asyr" III degree and its block are made of silver of 925 samples with a bronze coating.
