Crater Braude ( lat. Braude ) - a small impact crater located in the southern circumpolar region on the far side of the moon . The name was given in honor of the Soviet and Ukrainian radio physicist and radio astronomer Semyon Yakovlevich Braude (1911-2003) and approved by the International Astronomical Union in 2009. There is no information on the period of the formation of the crater.

Crater Description
The immediate neighbors of the crater are the large Nefedyev Crater in the west; the giant Schrödinger Crater in the northwest; the small Laveran crater in the east and the Wichert crater in the south [1] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater , diameter 11.3 km [2] , depth 1.8 km [3] .
The crater has a cup shape. The height of the shaft above the surrounding area is 420 m [3] . The volume of the crater is approximately 60 km³ [3] .
