Hits + is the second compilation of Australian singer Kylie Minogue , released on October 16, 2000. The latest Minogue release for Deconstruction Records before moving to Parlophone . The disc is filled with remixes of songs from Deconstruction-era albums, bi-sides for singles, as well as unrealized demos of this period. Due to the lack of promotion, the disc was not popular, although, for example, sales in the UK were still higher than the last studio album Impossible Princess at that time, which allowed him to finally be certified for the status of a silver disc [1] . In the singer’s homeland, in Australia , the compilation did not achieve anything at all [2] .

About the album
The record housed six of the seven singles from both Minogue albums for Deconstruction Records (talking about Kylie Minogue and Impossible Princess ). The exception was the single " Cowboy Style ", released only for the Australian market. In addition, the album features Kylie’s duet with Nick Cave, “ Where the Wild Roses Grow ”, and a cover version of the British band Prefab Sprout “If You Don't Love Me”. In Britain and Australia, the disc was published in a 16-song version. There were 15 tracks in the international edition, “This Girl” was missing. In the publication for the American and Chinese markets there were only 14 tracks, except for “This Girl” there was no “Where the Wild Roses Grow” [3] .
Perception
Despite the commercial failure, the critics' reaction to Hits + was positive, there was a reduction of Deconstruction period songs in a single compilation. So the reviewer from Allmusic Mackenzie Wilson, who awarded the album 4.5 stars out of 5 possible, emphasizes that this disc highlights the compositions that made Minogue a favorite of the indie scene in Europe in the mid -90s . “American fans,” Wilson writes, “may push the material a little darker and without as much ruffle as the trendy Can't Get You Out of My Head from Fever , but it's also stylish. Hits + is a wonderful gift for any connoisseur of the singer’s creativity, but also a wonderful retrospective for impatient fans who are just starting to discover the wild world of Kylie Minogue’s music ” [4] .
