Gnezdino (formerly Gnezdin [2] ) is a village in the municipality of Nagorny Rural Settlement , Petushinsky District, Vladimir Region .

It is located on the border of the Moscow and Vladimir regions near the Kirzhach River, 5 km from the Volga M7 highway on the right bank of the Kirzhach River [3] . It is located 2 km from the railway platform 173 km on the line Kirzhach - Orekhovo-Zuevo . Nearest settlements: villages Kilekshino and Ostrovishchi .
Bolshakova N.V. suggests that the name Gnezdino is associated with the location of houses in the village. In the dictionary of V. I. Dahl "nest" - housing, all kinds of dwelling, settlement. He also has a "nest of huts" - standing next to each other, right up to two huts [4] .
Since 1999, in the village there is a store selling construction and finishing materials [5] . To the east of the village are the summer residences TSN “ST Bylina” (in Soviet times the garden partnership “Bylina” of the State Planning Commission of the RSFSR ), TSN “ST Vneshtorgbankovets”, TSN “ST Kirzhach-1” and TSN “ST Rest”.

Geography
The village of Gnezdino is located on the Kirzhach Zandra plain (absolute heights of 140-150 meters above sea level). The Kirzhach Zandra plain is characterized by a weakly wavy surface topography, significant swampiness. The river valleys are winding, the slopes are moderate, in places steep, weakly dissected by shallow ravines and valleys of tributaries.
Entered the Argunovskaya volost . Since 1708, the village was part of the Vladimir province as part of the Moscow province . In 1778 an independent Vladimir governorship was created . In 1796, the governorship was transformed into the Vladimir province , divided into 10 counties [4] .
In 1881, together with the villages of Kilekshino and Ostrovishchi, she moved to the Pokrov-Slobodsky volost of the Pokrovsky district (1 precinct, in 1895 the zemsky chief: retired staff captain Aleksey Nikolayevich Kustarevsky [6] ). At the same time, the village remained in the parish of St. Nicholas Church [4] .
Since August 14, 1944 it is part of the Vladimir region . Pokrovsky Uyezd was liquidated by decree of the All - Russian Central Executive Committee on January 5, 1921. The Orekhovo-Zuevsky district of the Moscow province was formed , which included 11 volosts of the Pokrovsky district, including Argunovskaya. The remaining 11 volosts are included in the Alexander district . On June 13, 1921, the Kirzhach district was re-formed , which included the Argunovskaya and Ovchininsky volosts from the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district. The decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of May 8, 1924 eliminated the Kirzhach district and the Kolchuginsky district , as well as the Kirzhach and Fineevsky volosts . They were transferred to the Alexander district of Vladimir province. Argunovskaya volost disbanded and forever ceased to exist. Her villages entered the Ovchininsky volost of the Alexander district of Vladimir province [4]
Since 1939, the village of Gnezdino was part of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district [7] . Since August 14, 1944 it has been part of the Vladimir region [4] . Until 1950, in the administrative borders of the Kirzhach village council. Since 1950 it has been included in the administrative borders of the Lachuzhsky Village Council [8] . History
In the middle of the XII - beginning of the XIII centuries, the territory belonged to the Rostov-Suzdal principality [13] . Whether the village existed at this time is unknown.
According to the scribe book of 1628-1631, the village of Gnezdino (Nest) was listed by Prince Mikhail Petrovich Pronsky [4] .
The village belonged to the parish of St. Nicholas Church in the village of Argunovo [4] [14] (currently the village does not exist).
According to the confession statements of the Nikolskaya Church in 1770, there were 4 peasant households in the village. According to the confessional statements of 1830 - 7 yards, 20 male residents, 30 female, the village belongs to Ilyin F. I. [4]
According to the General survey of 1775-1776. at Gnezdino there were 65 acres of 2005 square arable seedlings of arable land, 16 acres of 1425 sq. with. hayfields, 142 tithing 2298 sq. m. with. woodland, 9 acres of 1776 square meters. with. swamps and ponds, 3 tithes 2284 square meters. with. under estates and gardens, 1 tithing 2250 sq. m. with. under the roads, total land: 241 acres of 38 square meters. with. In 1850, 21 male peasants lived in the village [15] .
In 1852, according to her mother’s will, she passed into the possession of Ilyina Elizaveta Filippovna [15] .
In 1854 - 5 yards, 15 males, 28 females. The village belongs to Ilyina E. F. [4]
In 1859, there were 6 yards in the village, 19 male and 28 female residents [16] .
In 1860, the village still belongs to Ilyina E.F. 21 male residents live. [4]
According to the clearing records of 1876, the village still belongs to Ilyina, has 4 yards, 23 male farmers and 22 female [4] .
According to the clearing records of 1885, there are 4 yards in the village, 20 male peasants, 19 female [4] .
According to data published in 1895 in the village there are 43 inhabitants (21 males, 22 females), of which 10 men (carpenters and factory workers in Moscow, Orekhovo and Zuevo) are engaged in the latrine industry . There are no handicrafts [17] .
According to data published in 1905 in the village of 14 yards, 44 residents [18] .
According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census , 1 person was registered in the village [19] .
North of Gnezdino in the 1950s - 1990s there was one of the branches of the narrow-gauge railway of the Elektrogorsk peat enterprise : Elektrogorsk - Lyapino - Zheludevo . The line to Zheludevo was dismantled in 1993, but in the 90th there was still movement at least to the Lyapino site [20] .
