Myrmozercon cyrusi (lat.) Is a species of myrmecophilic ticks of the Laelapidae family from the order Mesostigmata ( Dermanyssoidea , Dermanyssina ). West Asia : Northeast Iran , Kenevist Rural District , Central District , Mashhad County , Khorasan-Rezavi Province . Body length 522-534 microns. The dorsal shield is 488-500 long and 420-436 microns wide. It differs from other species of the genus by a very short peritreme, lack of setae on coxae, and the only ventral set on trochanteric palps. II and III pairs of legs are short (258-268 microns, 268-272), I and IV are longer (288-298). Associated with ants of the genus Monomorium ( Hymenoptera ).
