Yevgenia Nikandrovna Khanayeva ( January 2, 1921 , Bogorodsk , Moscow Region , RSFSR - November 8, 1987 , Moscow , USSR ) was a Soviet Russian film and theater actress . People's Artist of the USSR ( 1987 ).

Biography
Evgenia Khanaeva was born on January 2, 1921 in Bogorodsk (now Noginsk, Moscow Region ).
In 1927–1938 she studied at the Moscow Secondary School No. 175 of the Sverdlovsk District , from 1938–1939 - at the Moscow Law Institute (now the Law Faculty of Moscow State University ), and in 1939–1941 - at the Theatrical School named after them. MS Schepkina , in 1941-1943 - in the Moscow City Theater School. In 1947 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School .
Since 1947 - actress of the Moscow Art Theater (Moscow Art Theater). The role of the actress was a little, but she managed even in a small number to create memorable images. She succeeded and dramatic, and comedic, and grotesque characters.
Already in adulthood, the actress has become a memorable master of film background and movie episode. All-Union fame received after the film "Drawing" (1976).
During the division of the Moscow Art Theater in 1987, she took the side of Oleg Efremov and left with him. However, she was not fated to enter the scene of the “Efremov” Moscow Art Theater .
She knew how and loved to drive a car. In the mid-1980s, she was involved in an accident on her Zhiguli , which resulted in a spinal cord injury [2] . The actress experienced very strong pain, but continued to play in the theater. Hoping to get rid of persistent pains she turned to neurosurgeon Edward Kandel [2] . He immediately stated: "Either - or" [2] . The operation was carried out in October 1987, but she was never able to get out of the coma after its completion [2] .
The actress never found out that she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR and, without regaining consciousness, she died on November 8, 1987 at the age of 66 years [2] . She was buried at the Vvedensky (German) cemetery , next to her father (18th section).
Family
Father - Nikander S. Khanaev (1890-1974), opera singer (dramatic tenor), teacher. People's Artist of the USSR (1951).
Was married to economist Anatoly Uspensky. Divorced in 1966. In this marriage in 1953, the son of Vladimir was born. For a long time (until the mid-1980s), mother and son did not communicate with each other.
From the mid-1960s, she had close romance with actor Lev Vasilyevich Ivanov (1915–1990) [2] .
