Katarkol ( Kazakh. Katarkul ) is a village in the Burabay district of the Akmola region of Kazakhstan . It is part of the Katarkol rural district. It is located about 16 km east of the center of Schuchinsk . The KATO code is 117057100 [1] .

In 1999, the village population was 2,922 people (1,420 men and 1,502 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 2854 people lived in the village (1374 men and 1480 women) [2] .
