Cournet Murai

Kurnet-Murai ( Arabic قرنة مرعي , DMG Qurnat Muraʿī ) is a Theban necropolis on the west bank of the Nile , south of the necropolis Sheikh Abd el-Qurnah , from which it is separated by a gorge. The necropolis grew up on the southernmost hill of the Theban city of the dead. The name Cournet-Murai is derived from the name of the local Muslim saint Sidi Murai, whose tomb is located on the top of a hill [1] .
