Microctenochira vivida (lat.) Is a species of shield beetle beetles ( Cassidini ) from the leaf beetle family [1] . Endemic to Central America: Costa Rica (San Mateo); Honduras , Mexico (Cordova, Hidalgo, Playa Vicente, Tabasco, Tuxtla, Xilitla); Panama (Bugaba, Chiriqui, Panama). The shape of the body is flattened. Herbivorous species, feeds on plants of the family Convolvulus ( Convolvulaceae : Ipomoea phillomega ) [2] .
