Welder da Silva Marsal ( port. Welder da Silva Marçal ), better known as Weldinho ( port. Weldinho ) ( January 16, 1991 , Franca , São Paulo ) - Brazilian footballer , flank defender . In 2011-2012. played for Corinthians , in which he became the champion of Brazil and won the Libertadores Cup.

Biography

Welder is a pupil of the Paulista school from Jundiai , as part of this club he made his debut in professional football in 2010. After playing for the team for six months the following year, Velder moved to Corinthians, who fought for the Brazilian title, and eventually managed to win this fight against Vasco da Gama . Welder played in 26 matches of Series A and was one of the club’s most promising young players, a potential successor to the experienced Alessandro .

In 2012, Veldinho (the diminutive form of the name used by fans and team partners - at the end of 2011 the player began to play in a T-shirt with the inscription Weldinho on his back) received a very serious injury, which did not go to the Club World Cup . He played only 9 matches in Serie A, and in the Libertadores Cup, who won Corinthians for the first time in his history, he managed to play in two matches of the group stage - against the Paraguayan Nacional , he replaced at the end of the game ^[1] , and against “ Deportivo Tachira ” he played the entire second half ^[2] .

In February 2013, it became known that 40% of the rights to Veldinho were purchased by anonymous investors and by the end of the year the flank defender on a leasehold basis will hold at Palmeiras, which, despite the departure to Serie B , takes part in the 2013 Libertadores Cup as the owner of the Brazil Cup ^[3] .

After 2014, Veldinho's career began to develop unsuccessfully. He began to play for the clubs of the lower divisions of the championship of Brazil. His last team in 2017 was Figuirense . In the middle of the year he was expelled from the club because he was not part of the coaching staff’s plans ^[4] .
