Seabourn cruise line

The company was founded in 1987 (originally under the name Signet Cruise Line, but due to a trademark dispute, the company was renamed Seaburn Cruise Line) by a group of Norwegian investors led by Norwegian industrialist Atl Brunestad (who created SeaDream Yacht Club in 2002 ) interested in creating a fleet of ultra-luxury cruise liners resembling mega-yachts.

In 1991, 25% of the company’s shares were acquired by the Carnival Corporation holding, and in 1998 the holding bought out the company’s shares in full.

The company's fleet consists of 6 airliners ^[2] : Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit, Seabourn Legend, Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn, Seabourn Quest.

Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Spirit, Seabourn Legend are the older generation liners of Seabourn. Small liners - 135 m long, with a displacement of 10 thousand tons - each accommodates only 208 passengers.

The new generation liners are Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn, Seabourn Quest, each 198 m long, with a displacement of 32 thousand tons, designed for 450 passengers.

• The personnel on board the ships were recruited from Europeans ^[3] .
• The godmother of Seabourn Sojourn is the English supermodel, actress and singer Leslie Hornby (Twiggy) .
