Asya Kya

Ensemble Record, 1986

The State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Komi named after Victor Morozov “Asya Kia” is the first professional art group of the Komi Republic , basing its work on the original culture of the Komi people. Songs, dances, colorful music tangibly convey the character, customs, traditions, beliefs of the northern people, and the whole world around him. In the ensemble’s programs, for the first time, the Komi national everyday instruments (chipsans, pelyans, various noise instruments — knockers, syargan, zil-zel, etc.) were brought onto the stage [1] Songs are performed both in Russian and in Komi languages. From the Komi language, "Asya Kya" is translated as "Morning Dawn." Created March 11, 1939 [2]
