Biography
Born around 1850 .
He graduated from the cadet school. In 1882, he was a lieutenant of the 16th Grenadier Mingrel Regiment in Tiflis .
Since the spring of 1881, he was a member of the local revolutionary officer circle of the Peopleβs Volunteer, supplied revolutionary publications to the members of the circle and took an active part in organizing gatherings.
He was arrested on January 11, 1883 and was involved, among 28 people, in an inquiry at the Tiflis gendarmerie department in the case of the Peopleβs Circle formed among officers of the Mingrel Regiment. During interrogation he gave βthe most detailed and detailed testimony that contributed to the full disclosure of the activities of the other accused.β
He was dismissed from service without a petition. He was kept in the Metekhi prison castle in Tiflis, and then transferred to St. Petersburg , where from January 30, 1883 he was kept in the Peter and Paul Fortress. During his detention in the fortress, he lost his mind and was transferred from the fortress to Kazan on April 26, 1883, to a hospital for mentally ill patients.
By agreement of the Ministers of the Interior and Justice (1884), his case was suspended until the issue of his mental illness was resolved. The examination of doctors of February 10, 1884 was recognized as cured of his illness (gloomy insanity). On July 4, 1884, Antonov was sentenced to pre-trial detention and submission to public supervision for three years in an area he chose to reside. He lived in Baku , where he served as a scribe in the provincial administration.
At the end of 1887, he filed an application for entry into military service, which was rejected in February 1888. Released from supervision by order of the police department - in November 1890.
The further fate of Antonov and the date of death are unknown.
