Carlos Rico Walker ( born Carlos Rico Walker ; March 31, 1976 - September 21, 2016) is an American rapper, better known by his stage name Shawty Lo , the founder of D4L Records, and a member of the hip hop group D4L .

His first solo album Units in the City was released on February 26, 2008. RICO was released posthumously in 2017.
He died in a traffic accident on the I-285 motorway on September 21, 2016 (he lost control, his Audi A7 car crashed off the road, crashed into a tree, turned over and caught fire). He had 11 children (9 daughters and 2 sons) from 10 women. He was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in College Park ( Georgia ).
