Biography
Born in 1916 in the Lipetsk region. In 1933, together with his family, he moved to the village of Verbilki, Moscow Region . He worked at the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory [3] .
Called to the Red Army by the Taldom RVK 17.7 . 1941 , fell into the 307th Infantry Division . Being a cadet of a separate training battalion of the 307th rifle division, he participated in heavy defensive battles of the end of June - beginning of July 1942 in the Livensky district near the village of Vvedenskoye, the villages of Redkino, Rosstani. Being armed with a manual machine gun, he destroyed snipers and up to 15 soldiers and officers of the enemy. He was presented to the Order of the Red Star , but by order of the commander of the 13th Army No. 38 / n of August 12, 1942, he was awarded the medal "For Courage" .
In January 1943 he had the rank of guard sergeant, was the commander of the branch of the machine-gun company of the 81st Guards Rifle Regiment of the 25th Guards Rifle Division. In the course of the Ostrogozhsko-Rossoshanskaya operation, the 25th Guards Rifle Division from 12.1 . 1943 came from the bridgehead near the village of Storozhevoe Pervoy (“ Storozhevsky bridgehead”). 13.1 . In 1943 , two regiments of the division developed an offensive and, near the village of Dovgalevka, stopped in front of a well-fortified defensive zone, where units of the 2nd Hungarian Army defended. The onslaught was obstructed by the fire of a machine gun from a double-amber bunker located at altitude. I. G. Voilokov, being the commander of the machine-gun crew, along with the second number, the private soldier A. D. Strokov, secretly crept closer to the bunker, rolled up the machine gun and started firing at the embrasures. One of the enemy’s machine guns stopped firing due to the fire of Sergeant Voilokov, the other after breaking a grenade. However, after the Soviet units again rose to the attack, machine guns again earned. Having spent the ammunition, Sergeant Voilokov and Private Strokov closed machine gun embrasures with their bodies.
From the divisional newspaper Stalingrad Guard on January 20, 1943:
“The homeland will never forget the glorious names of heroes-guards sergeant Voilokov and private Strokov, who gave their lives for the freedom of the Soviet people. During the attack on the enemy line, they crawled to the fascist bunkers and with their bodies closed the embrasures. Their blood choked machine guns. The guardsmen broke into the enemy's position and began to mercilessly destroy the German invaders, avenging the death of their comrades ... "
Another version is given by S. I. Filonenko, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at the Voronezh State Agrarian University:
“... in order to more accurately hit the calculation of the enemy machine gun that was in the bunker, they dragged their Maxim through the wire and, from a distance of 5-7 meters, gave several bursts into the embrasure. The calculation of the German machine gun was interrupted, but I. G. Voilokov was also killed. A. D. Strokov continued to fight, he was appointed the 1st number. Command 78th Guards. cn presented the machine gunner to the title of Hero of the Soviet Union ... "
He was buried in a mass grave number 120 (village Selyavnoye-2, Liskinsky district ).
Sergeant Voilokov was not awarded for the feat of the guard. In 1966, the article “Two closed the embrasure” appeared in the Voronezh regional newspaper, after which a teacher of the evening school in the village of Verbilki conducted a study, the materials of which were sent to the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
15.2 . In 1968 , IG Voilokov was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of 1 degree.
The street in the village of Verbilki was named after Sergeant Voilkov [4]
