Biography
Pavel Dudarev was born in 1913 in Zlatoust (now Chelyabinsk Region ) into a working-class family. Early left without parents, grew up in an orphanage, graduated from a seven-year school. Since 1940, he worked at a state farm in the village of Novoyeniseysk, Yenisei District, Krasnoyarsk Territory . In October 1943, Dudarev was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since December of that year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By March 1944, Red Army soldier Pavel Dudarev was a reconnaissance platoon on foot reconnaissance of the 681st Infantry Regiment of the 133rd Infantry Division of the 40th Army of the 2nd Ukrainian Front . Distinguished himself during the forcing of the Dniester [1] .
On March 24, 1944, Dudarev, as part of an intelligence group, crossed the Dniester in the area of the village of Vasilevka, Sokiryansky District, Chernivtsi Region, Ukrainian SSR . The group broke into the enemy’s position, but was immediately surrounded. With the help of grenades and in hand-to-hand combat, Dudarev destroyed 19 enemy soldiers and officers, breaking free from the encirclement. On March 28, during fights on the bridgehead near the village of Medvezha, Briceni district of the Moldavian SSR, he took an active part in repelling eight enemy counterattacks. He made a number of night sorties, only during the period from March 8 to 30, 1944, capturing thirty "languages" [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 13, 1944, Red Army Pavel Dudarev was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union for "exemplary execution of the combat missions of command on the front of the struggle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown at the same time." He did not manage to receive the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal , since on February 26, 1945 he went missing under the Polish city of Katowice [1] .
He was also awarded two orders of the Red Star , the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree, and a number of medals [1] .
By the decision of the session of the city and district Councils of Workers' Deputies No. 3 dated 06/20/1969, the title of honorary citizen of the city of Yeniseisk was awarded. [2]
In honor of Dudarev named streets in Yeniseisk and Vasilevka [1] .
