Microctenochira difficilis (lat.) Is a species of shield beetle bugs ( Cassidini ) from the leaf beetle family [1] . Endemic to South America: Brazil (Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo), Peru (Canchamajo), Ecuador (Napo). The shape of the body is flattened. Herbivorous species, feeds on plants of the family Convolvulus ( Convolvulaceae : Ipomoea sp.) [2] .
