Population
According to the statistical compilation “Rural settlements of the Yaroslavl region as of January 1, 2007”, there are no permanent residents in the village of Bolshoi Saygatovo [1] .
Geography
The village is located in the north-eastern part of the region, at a distance of about 3 km northeast of Varegovo and at a distance of about 1 km south of the Vaulovo railway station of the Yaroslavl - Rybinsk railway. The territory on the opposite side of the railway already belongs to the Tutaevsky district . The village of Maloe Saygatovo is located in the immediate vicinity north of the Bolshoi. Further north between Malyi Saigatov and the station is the village of Lyagichino . To the southwest of Saigatovo halfway to Varegovo stands the village of Shalovo . To the north-west of Saigatovo there is a railway line from the Vaulovo station to the Varegovsky peat enterprise [3] .
History
On the plan of the General Land Surveying of the Borisoglebsky Uyezd in 1792, the village of Saygotovo is indicated, without division into large and small. In 1825, Borisoglebsky district was merged with Romanovsky district . According to 1859, the village belonged to the Romanovo-Borisoglebsky district [4] .
