Microctenochira aciculata (lat.) Is a species of shield beetle beetles ( Cassidini ) from the leaf beetle family [1] . Endemic to South America: Argentina (Jujuy, Misiones) Brazil (Bahia, Rio de Janeiro; Santa Catarina, Sao Paulo), Paraguay (Caagualu). The shape of the body is flattened. Herbivorous species, feeds on plants of the family Convolvulus ( Convolvulaceae : Ipomoea batatas ), legumes ( Phaseolus sp.) [2] .
