Agroiconota propinqua (lat.) Is a species of shield beetle beetles ( Cassidini ) from the leaf beetle family [1] . Central America ( Haiti , Costa Rica , Cuba , Nicaragua , Panama , Puerto Rico , Jamaica ). South America ( Venezuela , Colombia ). The shape of the body is flattened. Herbivorous species, feeds on plants of the family Convolvulus ( Convolvulaceae : Ipomoea trifida , Merremia aegyptia , Merremia umbellata ) [2] .
