Vasily Grigorievich Artemyev (born July 24, 1987 in Zelenograd ) is a Russian professional rugby player who plays the three-quarter-back position for the Russian team Krasny Yar .

Biography
Family
All members of the family received a higher education, grandmother and grandfather graduated from the institutes with red diplomas. There is a brother who gets a third degree in GITIS at the directing department.
Early years
Vasily started playing rugby at the age of 9 in the sports school of Zelenograd. Before starting high school, he left for Ireland, graduated from Blackrock College. He entered the University College of Dublin at the Faculty of Law, where he was invited by the dean of the faculty, a rugby fan. In exchange for studying law, Vasiliy won the right to a place in the rugby team and a special scholarship. In 2009 he successfully graduated from the university, having passed the final exams.
Club career
As a university student, Vasily played for the youth line-up of the Leinster team, the core of which plays in the Pro12 and the Heineken Cup . In 2009, Vasily returned to Russia, joining the team "VVA-Moscow Region". In mid-February 2011, Vasily sensationally moved to England, signing a contract with the Northampton Saints team for two years (previously he tried to lure his Saler Sharks into his team). In 2013, he signed a three-year contract with Krasnoyarsk [3] . In 2014 he was recognized as the best player of the team [4] .
Career in the national team
Artemyev was marked by a series of appearances for the youth team of Ireland, as a student. From 2009, he stands for the Russian national team: from January to April, he was at the training camp of the Russian team, leaving its location in May before the exams. In 2010, Vasily played three meetings at the Churchill Cup and, thanks to his performances, attracted the attention of the Northampton Saints scouts: in one of the meetings, he single-handedly went around all the defenders and broke through to the test zone. In 2011, he spoke at the World Championships in New Zealand, gaining 5 points thanks to a registered attempt in the match against Ireland.
