Corey Robert Flynn ( born January 5, 1981 in Invercargill ) is a New Zealand rugby player who plays as a hooker in the Scottish club Glasgow Warriors and the national team .

Career
Club
Rugby took up being a student at Southland Boys' High School . He played for the team of the province of Southland, in 2003 he moved to the province of Canterbury. Until 2014, he played in Super Rugby for the Crusaders team, then spent two seasons for Toulouse. On February 29, 2016, he announced his transfer to the Glasgow Warriors team at the end of the season [1] , stating that he wants to play in the same club as his acquaintance, Scottish full backlum Sean Matteled [2] . The contract with the club ended on May 26, 2017 [3] .
Team
Corey joined the national team at the 2003 World Cup, making his debut in a match against Canada. At the same time, he played for the youth team, and for the team of New Zealand Maori. On May 31, 2006, Corey was appointed captain of the youth team after Roiben Thorne refused the captain's armband [4] . In 2011, Flynn submitted to the home world championship. In just 15 games, Corey scored 15 points.
Personal life
Cory is from a family of rugby players: his father and two uncles (Robbie and Aaron Flynn) are professional rugby players. Robbie played for the US team , Aaron played for the Crusaders from 1998 to 2002.
