Harris County Public Transport Office , also METRO ( METRO ) is a company providing public transportation services in Houston ( Texas , USA ). The company provides public transport to residents in the form of buses , trams and the Quickline bus system. The company began work in 1979 , when bus traffic was launched [1] . In the first quarter of 2015, 222.2 thousand people used the company's services daily [2] .
