History

In 1779, a village of the same name began to settle down on the Glushitsa River at the place of its confluence with the Irgiz River. There is a popular belief that the village of Bolshaya Glushitsa was once called Poganovka. According to the census of 1794, 15 years after its formation, 285 people lived in 32 yards [3] (140 male and 135 female). Population growth was mainly due to natural growth [4] .

A massive influx of immigrants began in 1828. Peasants of low-land provinces of Russia poured into this region [4] .

The village was near the Samara - Uralsk highway. Through Glushitsa from Samara to Uralsk they brought manufactory, shoes, and “small goods”. From Uralsk to Samara - fish, skin, cattle, sheep, horses. Over time, Glushitsa becomes a major shopping center, where bazaars are held weekly. And thrice a year - noisy fairs [3] .

In 1831, the village of Malaya Glushitsa (once called Soplivka) began to settle on Irgiz, so Glushitsa was called Bolshoi [5] .

In 1840, Bolshaya Glushitsa numbered 1,491 houses and 10,792 people. In the village there was a volost government, a post office, a judicial investigation, a credit partnership. Power was administered by the volost chief, the bailiff, and the officer [4] .

By the beginning of the 20th century, there were three churches and three parish schools, a zemstvo school, a pharmacy, a postal and telegraph office, a credit company, a court, volost government, a tannery, and the multi-shop society Step in the beginning of the 20th century [3] .

The village was populated gradually. Residents divide the village into three parts - parishes - according to the number of churches before the revolution: Trinity - the western part, Mikhailovsky - the eastern part of the village, Pokrovsky - the central part of the village. In the early 1960s, a village of oil workers began to be built up - the southern part of the village [5] .

Here lived the descendants of immigrants from 17 provinces. Ancient street names indicate where its residents came from: Kanaevka (Gagarina), Ryazanka (Donetsk), Tulyatka (Dzerzhinsky), Kuryatka (Fokina), etc. Starozhily and now they name streets in their own way. For example, st. The country house is called Ryabchinka, and the Red Banner is called Donkovka, etc. [5] .
