Story
The film tells how the traditional Sami lifestyle is confronted with the laws of modern Swedish society. The action takes place in a mountainous area on the border of the Swedish Jämtland and the Norwegian Trennelag among the Sami reindeer herding. The protagonist Clemens Clementsen is an example for his nephew Neila (Niels) to follow. Neila dreams of living in the mountains in harmony with nature. They herd a small herd that belongs to Neil and his father Mats. For two years it has greatly decreased, but now the wolf attacks him again, exacerbating the problem of his survival. Clemens and Neila have a dilemma on how to protect deer if the law prohibits wolf hunting. Soon, in the vicinity of Khersen, where Neila and Clemens live, inspectors of the State Environmental Protection Agency discover a charred corpse of a wolf.
