Geography
The village is located near the right bank of the Volga. Near the village, a drying creek Sachonka flows .
History
Near the village there used to be the village of Bernikovo, in which Governor-General Count Arseny Andreyevich Zakrevsky was born. From the estate of the XIX century only the park with linden alleys has survived [2] .
According to the collection of statistical data for 1891, the village belonged to the Bubnovsky volost of the Zubtsovsky district of the Tver province. [3] peasants belonged to the former state [4] .
In 2006, the construction of a golf club was planned in the village [5] .
Demographics
In 1859, there were 41 courtyards in the village with a total population of 314 people (148 men and 166 women) [4] .
In 1888, there were 66 yards in the village with a total population of 336 people (158 men and 178 women) [4] .
