Club career
Chris Mawinga is a graduate of Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool football clubs. The defender turned out to be in the training system of the English club in 2009. The second half of the 2010/11 season performed in the Belgian Championship for Genk . He made his debut in the Juppil league on February 13, 2011 in a match against the Standard [4] . On May 17, 2011, in a match with Genkom , Mavinga roughly attacked Mehdi Carsela-Gonzalez , hitting him with a straight leg in the face, which caused an instant loss of consciousness in the player, as well as numerous fragmental fractures of the nose, jaw and loss of five teeth. In the summer of 2011, Mawinga signed a contract with the French club Rennes . He held the first match for the “red-blacks” on August 18, 2011 in the Europa League against “ Red Star ” [6] . Three days later, he first played for Rennes in Ligue 1 (in a match with Montpelier ). [7] .
On August 7, 2013, he signed a contract with Kazan Rubin, the term of the contract is 4 years [8] . The first official match for Rubin was played on August 29, 2013 in the Europa League against the Norwegian Molde [9] . In the summer of 2014, he lost the competition for a place in the composition of Elmira Nabiullina and went to rent at Reims for one season [10] . Career in national teams
From 2009 to 2010, Chris Mawinga played for the French youth team for players under 19 years old . As a member of the team, the defender took part in the 2010 European Youth Championship . He played 4 matches at the tournament and became the champion of the continent. In 2011, he played 4 matches for the French team for players no older than 20 years. September 5, 2011 defender made his debut in the youth national team of the country (in a friendly match with a team of Portugal ) [11] . In March 2015, he was summoned to the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo [13] . March 28, 2015 he made his debut for the national team in a friendly match against Iraq [14] .
