Biography
The early years
Georgy Pisarev was born on March 23, 1919 in the village of Ermolaevka (now the Ubinsky district of the Novosibirsk region ) into a Russian peasant family. He graduated from 10 classes. He worked as secretary of the Komsomol district committee in the city of Tomsk .
In the Red Army since 1939. After graduating from the regimental school he served in a tank regiment. In 1940 he graduated from the military-political school. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1941.
Participation in the Great Patriotic War
In the army of the Great Patriotic War from June 22, 1941 - began the war in the area of the city of Brest . Participated in the Battle of Stalingrad . After completion of the improvement courses, the command staff was sent to command posts. In the summer of 1943, as a commander of a tank battalion, he participated in the Battle of Kursk and in the Donbass offensive operation , and made a deep raid on the enemy rear in Northern Tavria . In April - May 1944, he courageously acted in the Crimean offensive operation , crossed the Crimean Peninsula as part of a forward mobile detachment and went to Sevastopol , participated in the liberation of Dzhankoy and Simferopol .
Feat
Major G. Pisarev, commander of the motorized rifle battalion of the 26th motorized rifle Sivash brigade ( 19th tank corps (USSR) , 6th guards army , 1st Baltic front ), distinguished himself during the Baltic strategic offensive operation of 1944 .
On October 6, 1944, in the zone of the 6th Guards Army , the 19th Panzer Corps was put into battle, in which Major Pisarev commanded the motorized rifle battalion of the 26th motorized infantry Sivash brigade. Major Pisarev skillfully organized the breakthrough of the enemy’s defense and the forcing of the Varduva River in the area of Seda Lithuania . Skillfully organizing the battle, Pisarev on the command tank broke forward, dragging along his subordinates. At the same time, the crossing was captured in an intact state, and Pisarev himself crushed several enemy guns with a tank. The next day, October 7 , Major Pisarev left several tanks to cover the crossing, and he, with the main forces of the battalion, broke into the rear of the enemy. Tankers discovered a column of retreating Nazi troops and swiftly attacked it. In this battle, up to 150 motor vehicles, 15 guns, 15 enemy armored personnel carriers were crushed, burned and captured. More than 200 Nazis were captured, several dozen more were destroyed in battle. The skillful actions of Major Pisarev ensured the successful entry into the breakthrough of the main forces of the corps.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for the exemplary fulfillment of command assignments in the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown to this, Pisarev Georgy Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (7583 ) [2] .
In 1945 he participated in the East Prussian offensive operation .
After the war
After the war he continued to serve in the army. In 1953 he graduated from the Military Academy named after M.V. Frunze . He commanded a tank regiment. In 1966-1968, he commanded the 6th Guards Motorized Rifle of the Lviv Order of Lenin of the Red Banner Order of Suvorov in the GSVG, division ( Bernau ). The last place of service is the headquarters of the civil defense of Moscow .

He died in Moscow on September 12, 1981, and was buried in the Kuntsevo cemetery (plot 9-3).
In the memoirs of contemporaries
... in the 19th tank corps of General I.D. Vasiliev ... distinguished himself ... Major Pisarev, commander of the advanced detachment. Having escaped with his battalion far ahead, he went to the large settlement of Seda. Upon learning that there was a strong garrison, the major led a battalion bypassing Seda from the north. On the way, the detachment met a Nazi motorcade, attacked it and defeated it on the spot, destroying 15 armored personnel carriers, 15 guns and 150 vehicles. Having approached the fortified point from the rear, with a sudden attack he destroyed the fascist garrison, capturing 200 prisoners, 15 guns and many other weapons. The enemy did not succeed in knocking out the brave battalion from Seda, and he held the defenses for several hours until the main forces of the 26th Motorized Rifle Brigade, Colonel Khrapovitsky, approached. George Ivanovich Pisarev was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
