Diplomatic relations

Diplomatic relations between the USSR and Burma (the official name of the country until 1989) were established on February 18, 1948. The first ambassador of Burma to the USSR began work on August 9, 1951 [2] . In December 1991, Myanmar recognized the Russian Federation as a successor state to the USSR.
