Story
7-serial French mini-series. Screen version of the novel by Walter Scott " Quentin Dorward ."
The action takes place in medieval France , in 1468 . Hiding from their Scottish enemies, the young Scot Quentin Dorward, with the help of a friend, under the guise of a monk, is forced to leave his native Scotland and leave for France. There he is hired by the Scottish Guard of the French King Louis XI . Meanwhile, in Burgundy, the Duke Karl the Bold announces to the young, wealthy and noble Countess Isabella de Croix that he intends to marry her to Count Campo Basso, one of his close associates. Isabella refuses to fulfill the will of her overlord, and secretly flees with the aid of night from Burgundy to France to seek protection and salvation from King Louis XI. Young people in the hope of salvation, without suspecting it, are in great danger, falling into the center of the struggle between the king of France and the duke of Burgundy.
